DRAM News

As many of you know, DRAM recently experienced a service outage due to Sandy-related flooding in our Lower Manhattan data center. The building's backup generator was destroyed, which in turn took down both the DRAM & New World Records websites. Yesterday for the first time we were permitted physical access to the server facility, enabling us to perform hands-on troubleshooting.

We are happy to report that all services (including the DRAM serach engine and the New World Records website) have now been restored to normal function, and appreciate very much the patience of our subscirbers as we dealt with this crisis. In the coming months we will be moving DRAM to a more distributed platform, to reduce the risk of similar outages in the future.
